This statue caught my eye. I’m not sure if she is meant to be an angel, pixie, or other but she sure is angelic.

Not exactly a race report
I’ve kind of been a little stuck on how to write up my half marathon. In many ways, the day was fabulous. I enjoyed the company of my dear friend, Cindy. We somehow managed to park near the start, and completely skirt the rainy weather during the race. But the pain that kept me away from running for the past 6 months decided to give me a challenge for the day. It forced me to take it easy and stick to the most level parts of the road. I can’t figure out what to make of it.
Desperate to find a work-around, I have been piecing together my quick build to the half marathon. Perhaps it was too quick of a ramp up. Maybe it was the pavement…or the shoes. Who knows? I just know that I don’t want to stop running again.
give thanks
goobly goofy
I’ve been so focused with capturing the moment that I have often failed to appreciate the fun in being totally wacko. It sure makes for a different sort of Thanksgiving photo. Unlike the intended perfect group shot, in this picture, if your eyes happen to be shut when the shutter closes no one will know the difference.
Happy Thanksgiving!
acts of kindness
If you asked to be kind all of the time for 30 days, could you do it? A short while after being posed this question, I found myself failing to find the kindest response to YaYa. Honestly, I cannot remember what it was that he was resisting me on. I can only remember that my tone immediately fell to annoyance and, after hearing the chosen words leave my mouth, I immediately though about how unkind they sounded. *sigh* The point isn’t perfection. The point lies more in the effort.
