Surely the idea of sharing the cooking load amongst families is not new. I love this about our camping trips with Mark and Lisa. Not only does it help offset the cooking duties, but it also allows you to sample new meals and, in our case, great new wines too.
Although, like last year, the roasted bananas with dark chocolate was a hit, this year’s omelette-in-a-bag definitely topped the likability chart. I was amazed and astounded at the process.
Check it out…
omelette-in-a-bag
Using small ziplock freezer bags, crack two eggs into the bag.
Break the yokes and mix up the egg by squeezing the bag from the outside with your hand.
Add your favorite ingredients such as cut up ham, mushrooms, onions, bell peppers.
Mix again by squeezing the bag with your hand.
So that everyone gets their own creation, mark the bags accordingly.
Then drop the bags into boiling water and let cook for 13 minutes.
Remove bag from boiling water and pour contents onto a plate.
And there you have it: Your Omelette-in-a-bag. Enjoy!
