For such simplicity, the power of “hello” is in fact miraculous. Think about it. How many times has your outlook changed from bad to good simply because someone merely acknowledged you? Maybe this is the reason why I am so passionate about greeting everyone I pass during my runs.
Funny enough, Cindy had to coach me not to do it while out cycling. Apparently, a simple raise of the hand (just barely off the handlebars) or a head nod is all that is warranted. Me yelling “Hello” across the road is NOT. *sigh*
So early in the week, when I’d discovered I never received the email detailing the upcoming Spring Equinox celebration, I sent out a “hello” to everyone invited to the last party. One by one my “hello” was returned with a friendly message and the accompanying information.
Since I am known to miss these parties on a regular basis, the extra attention was ever-welcome. For obvious reasons, Spring is the season that I rarely miss. And I am hoping that the extra “hello’s” will help me get through the energy and make this one happen too.

Good to know….I guess that goes for running past a bike as well.
