My senses have been on hyper-alert lately. Fortunately for me, they seem to be attracted to the positives. Everything I taste translates to exquisite, the smells in the air are intensely pleasing, and my sense of touch is soothing. Although my visual acuity is as unchanged, my eyes have been drawn to the tree-lined streets, setting sun, and the amazing hillsides surround us.
So much has been good that when that anyone points out something bad, the contrast overwhelms me and my mind fills with worry.
It is now that I must rely on my senses to call out the positives. Today, my eyes are wide open and looking for all things beautiful and good.

Thanks for your comment. It was good for me to talk about my dad. It brought up some emotion that needed to come out. It seems like I’ve been too busy to grieve.

I was out there last week for a couple of days, the grass is knee high and emerald green. Springtime in the Golden State, it is all good…
