With the increased stress raising my blood pressure, I made the decision last week to decaffeinate our household. So this morning, after another sleepless night, I retreated to the neighbor’s house for some regular coffee. I was a little bit desperate.
The thought of inserting an IV for a constant infusion of caffeine came to mind. I only allowed myself the two cups that was so graciously served.
My head still aches, and my body feels very worn out. I’ll hit the pillow early tonight. My body is due for a good night’s sleep.

I’ve been out of blogging a few days – too busy to find a minute to sit down and read. I just read through several posts – one of which isn’t on your main page anymore. Just want to say – you are right, and a comment Wes left for you is right. It’s your deal and you have to trust your gut on this.
Lots of people (including me) have lots of ideas about what is/might/could be/should be happening and how you should respond. This is what someone told me a long time ago, and something I try to remember and that I always share with the parents I teach: when you recieve advice, solicited or not, look it over carefully – like it’s a shirt you are about to buy. See if it fits you – your personality, your color, your life. If it feels like a fit, then buy it. If it doesn’t then leave it on the shelf.
That’s the kind of advice that is easy to give and hard to follow, but I try to keep it in the back of my head all the time. Hope it’s a little bit helpful for you too.

Oh wait, it is there, I just didn’t go back far enough. It’s been too long since I sat down to read!

Hi Julie – the Today show (nbc) had a segment on sleeping Tuesday morning. Perhaps you can find it on line. Joe
