As I type this, many are waiting in line to get their hands on the latest from apple. Meanwhile, Steve Jobs’ most recent tweet indicates that there are more people in line than there are iPhone 4’s in stock. It’s no surprise. This has always been the way with apple launches.
While there are many features of the new phone that excite me, my love will remain with myPhone 3Gs. We have a year of bonding invested in our relationship and I’m just not the kind of gal who drops the old just because there is a young thang flaunting its features at me. There needs to be a falling out so-to-speak.
I know what you’re thinking. I did replace my original iPhone (the one who helped pull me out of depression on the 1 year mark of my husband’s passing). Yes, I did replace him. But this was only after he started complaining about my music and constant picture taking. He hid behind his limited memory and refused to even try to keep up with my requests. In short, he stopped trying and we fell out of love. And so we both moved on.
myPhone, on the other hand, loves my varied taste in music. He even helps me to find new music sometimes. He claims to have a huge capacity for remembering all that I ask him to and loves to keep my pictures in safe keeping for me. It’s a good thing.
Besides…I hate lines.
