I discovered that if you put off the house cleaning on New Years Eve, then it still needs doing in the new year. Since I didn’t run at 6:30 am, I didn’t run at all. I could have, but there was so much to be done.
– Take down the Christmas tree and lights, and put all the decorations away.
– Vacuum
– Dust the furniture
– Sweep and mop the floors
– Cut back my roses for the winter
– Take out the garbage cans
– And a lot of other little small things that add up
By the time I finished my chores, the day was nearly done. I took off my running clothes. I had worn them all day in hopes of make some time. Then we drove over to visit my Dad.
This evening, I packed my running clothes in my workout bag and put the bag into the van. There is always tomorrow. I may be dreaming, but I’m hoping that I can carve out some time for a run on my lunch break.

Sounds like you had an excellent New Years Day. Cartoons and coffee with YaYa, getting all that ‘stuff’ done and visiting with your Dad. Makes me say ahhhhh…. and it wasn’t even my day.
My tree is still up, the house is still a mess and I have to work tomorrow so I will replace ahhhhhh.. with ‘oh well’ and hit the skids.
Happy New Year!
