Our morning started off on a good note. YaYa, who has been struggling for a week to get his contacts in each morning, got them in without having to call for help. He is feeling better finally. I think the new antibiotics are taking effect. On top of all of this, he decided to ride his bike to school so he can get home quickly, instead of an hour after school lets out.
Why is he in such a hurry to get home today, you might ask?
It’s because the high schools have put their letters of acceptance and/or denial in the mail.
Since I didn’t have to take YaYa to school, I lollygagged a bit longer than usual in an effort to rendezvous with Mr. Postman. I guess he knew my intentions to beat YaYa to the mail for Mr. Postman’s own lollygagging left me staring at the empty curb for far too long. I rolled out for the office with a sigh and a prayer. My hope is that when YaYa gets the mail, only good news will have been delivered.
Of course, I could go home at lunch. But for some reason, I feel okay about letting the mail sit. Let’s hope I’m right.

I was thinking the same thing. He’s worked so hard for this. It’s just got to come through. [knock wood]
