It feels good to put in an honest effort in preparing to meet at goal. The miles I’ve logged in this past few weeks has been good. Somehow, I’ve managed to get in back-to-back long hikes with a mid-week hike in there as well. And this weekend, I loaded up my pack with 25+ pounds of “stuff” and went out for a total of 18 miles across the 2-day time span. I ended my trek feeling strong and encouraged.
Although I haven’t prepared for the elevation, at least I have prepared for as much of the rest as possible given life-as-it-is. I know that it won’t be easy but I feel confident that the 46 hilly miles ahead are doable. It’s going to be a fabulous adventure!
