My dear friend, Mark sent me this photo today from his boat on Donner Lake in Tahoe. I think he was trying to point out that HE was now on vacation – INSTEAD of me. He’s good about that. Like a brother that likes to rub it in.
Do you see the fishing pole there on the right? It reminds me of the many camping trips we took in my teens. Back then, our family vacations consisted of 2-3 week long camping trips.
Generally, our stents consisted of fishing, water skiing, tubin’, motorcycle riding, and all things camping. My stepfather taught it all to us. There was so much water play that nearly the entire time was spent in my bikini. I think I even wore it on the days where we rode out on the dirt bikes because we always ended up in a creek. Often times, much to my stepfather’s frustration, my motorcycle did too.
Ah…those were the days.

That’s quite a picture-the one above and the mental image of you putting your bike into the water! :)

I was always so nervous about sliding out on the rocks that I’d go too slow and basically FALL over. It infuriated him.

You’re friend Mark is making me quite homesick and envious! Blast! I grew up in Reno (close to Doner) and now I’m longing for the days of summer vacation!! Ahh…
