Isn’t this rose beautiful? It was really hard to prune back my rose bushes when they continue to produce such lovely winter roses. I did, however, do the deed.
I also cleaned out my garage, made my first donation of outgrown clothes and shoes to charity, washed and folded a few loads of laundry, and did the much awaited grocery shopping.
Unfortunately, I did NO RUNNING – other then running around the elementary school track with the dogs. Except for the fact that I am registered for a marathon in March, my lack of running long doesn’t matter right now.

In reading 21CM’s comment on an earlier entry, I wonder if I am just fooling myself. Even so, it seems that I can’t manage to break away for long runs right now. So I’ll go on believing that it just doesn’t matter.

Ok, it may matter in terms of your preparation for a March marathon, but in terms of what 21CM said (that you’re taking care of yourself by running; I assume that’s the comment you meant)… the long runs don’t matter as much. getting out there, for however long or short, is enough, and you *do* seem to be managing that. Running for your own mental and physical health doesn’t have to be marathon training.
