It would seem that, after all these years of running, I am currently a little out of practice. On Friday, I found myself out on the run without my EpiPen or any form of identification.  This was so out of character for me.  However the following day, it wasn’t until I had a bee flying right at me that I remembered my EpiPen. What’s more… once again, I was without my RoadID which was still attached to my cycling shoes.

My missing items discovery came only after scrambling to get long-run-ready. It took several trips back into the house before I was finally on my way to meet up with Cindy for an 8 mile trail run. Fortunately, my body hasn’t forgotten how to run — at least not at our leisurely take pictures along the way pace.

So…I got to thinking.

With my alternating between my Vibrams and Asics (as well as from running to cycling), I decided that it was time to move from RoadID’s shoe tag to the wrist band version.  Additionally, in order to get past the character-limited ID tag restrictions, I’ve also decided to move to the Interactive ID. Then, I just have to get back into the practice of wearing it — as well as all the other things that need practicing.
