Right now, I am kickin’ it in my bedroom while YaYa is downstairs doing his homework with the help of a friend from school. He’s never been much for asking for help so I am impressed that he finally asked for it. I just hope that it’s not too late.
As for my help: Tonight, the best way I can help him is the stay out of the way.
OMG…..That is right!!! So hard for us mom’s to let our teens help themselves on their terms….ahhh!!!! (“they say” we are suppose to “just be the guard rails” and jump in when they are getting ready to over the edge. I guess we can stay out of the way by meditating or doing a thousand push-ups somewhere out of their sight. ugh!)
PS. It is never too late….could be a winding path but he will get to where he needs and should be…as Grandma Calvo has said, “have faith”….(eaiser said then done). XO
