Everyday, you pass signs. They are here and there. They are everywhere. But sometimes their meaning is completely lost.
Take this sign, for example. Of the many signs just like it that run along the RR tracks, this is the most legible of them all. Most are completely devoid of words. Yet, they remain — ever present and ever ignored.
Running along the RR tracks is one of my most favorite places to run — especially during my lunch break. It’s flat, fast, and relatively soft.
As for the sign, it may as well say TRESPASSERS WILLIAM, TRESPASSERS W., or T.J. And I might as well be heading over to pay my friend, Piglet a surprise visit. Better yet, saying that I was hunting heffalumps and woozles wouldn’t be any more crazy.
The thing is, I don’t need to come up with an excuse. Everyone runs, or walks, along the tracks and, so long as we don’t get in the way of the train, it’s all fine.
So, that’s just what I’m doing.
