A long ways back, child’s pose was a “rest pose” and the rest of the poses were hard work. These days, I’m finding so much joy in taking on new stuff. Arm balances, though requiring much arm strength, offer a nice break from working the legs so much. Especially while I ramp up rather quickly for a trail run that snuck up on me.
So after making my glutes angry with a lunchtime workout of hill repeats, my post run stretching moved to a little play. I found my sense of joy in eka pada koundinyasana.
