It’s nice when you can make a decision to shift gears and then make it happen.
This was how it was for me today. I was partway thru a 6 mile run when I decided it was time to shift gears and accelerate.
No sooner had I made that decision and I was really moving. It was awesome.
Today, making that decision was effortless. It’s not always. Sustaining it was not. But after getting up to speed, I wasn’t about to let it go without a fight. It was fantastic. I reached my car with a nice dose of euphoria — something I haven’t experienced in running since high school.
How difficult or easy is it for you to make the shift? When you do, what do you do to sustain it?
