Do you see this nice basket of hand-wrapped plastic flatware? We watched no less than 3 episodes of American Idol while filling it. Unfortunately, we’ve only just begun the task in front of us.
On the positive side, I will be putting a huge dent in my volunteer requirement for YaYa’s school by the time I’m finished. Even better, he will have contributed to his education, as well as the community event for which this flatware is for.
It’s been nearly a year since this orchid plant has seen blooms. I haven’t exactly killed it. The leaves are nice and healthy looking — there just aren’t any flowers.
My thumb is any color but green.
I’m sure a lot of you will think that it is sick that I am sitting in my house sending text messages to my son — who is sitting across the table from me. It’s like a game. I send the message, he reads it, looks up, smiles, then looks back down and sends his response. We send happy faces back and forth. His have sunglasses. He’s such a show off.
At the same time, we send text messages to his older brother in Hawaii. It’s important for him to be able to share important stuff such as the fact that tonight’s meatloaf was fantastic, and that he just went poop.
Of course, it gives me one more thing to monitor.
The rain has been coming down in buckets here. On and on it goes, never seeming like it will ease up. And then…
I don my new kicks, head out to do some puddle jumping, and I am rewarded with a little sunshine, a pretty rainbow, and the return of feeling somewhat sane. I love running.
