I love it when the moon hangs low in the sky like this. It’s as if it has come down to my level so I can get a good look without straining my neck. If only I could’ve gotten a better picture.
This stage, just past the full moon stage, is called waning gibbous.
The moon is so hard to photograph! I remember reading somewhere that “the moon is reflecting the sun’s light, and exposure needs to be adjusted accordingly”. What’s accordingly! Tell me more! Anyway, I’m often overcome by the moon and have never been able to capture the magic I feel in person. :)
I love that pic. It’s beautiful. The one good thing about winter is that we get to see the moon/night sky really well since the leaves have fallen!
