Sunday is normally a day for wrapping up loose ends. This week, however, it’s a day of distraction and one thing leading to another: Moose Style.
We returned from church and turned on the 1st of two playoff games. I went into the garage to feed Ronin, saw my bike and thought I should set it up in front of the TV to spin. So…I went upstairs to change.
After I got upstairs, I saw the TV in my room which my brother had moved from my dresser to the closet (at my request) where it would sit quietly until the wires could reach it. Seeing the TV, I immediately set out to remedy the issue. Soon I was pulling the wire from the wall, rerouting it, and reattaching it.
While admiring my handiwork, I frowned to see my disorderly mess of shoes (most of which I never wear). I began sorting, throwing some into a bag for donation, and lining the rest up neatly on the shelves. The shoes looked so much better all neat and lined up but then I thought how much nicer it would be to not have to look at the shoes at all. I figured a low curtain would do the trick. I went downstairs to look for one and got further distracted.
And now the game is nearly over, my bike is still in the garage, I am still in my church clothes, and I still have my weekend chores left to do….which is why I am blogging instead.

That’s funny. I wasn’t aware of the Moose story. Among some engineers around here that’s called “shaving a yak”!

LOL… I find myself trying to optimize my time at home too. It’s quite funny, and I’m rarely successful :-)

These are how my cleaning frenzies usually begin too. And why my to-do list never gets shorter.
