Work is slow and that is a bad thing. I like to keep busy; it helps prevent my mind from wandering. So when I sent an email the other department, asking for the data listing, I had only myself in mind. I did not consider the short staffing of the other department or the tight deadlines that the recipient of my email was under. I had only myself in mind. My impatience yielded nothing. Still, I am waiting.
It seems like impatience is running beneath the surface – making my skin crawl with uneasiness.
My mini-van was taken to the shop yesterday for its maintenance and an issue with the power door. By 4 pm, my impatience with the service representative was growing into anger. Problems, it seems there are always problems these days.
Well, my van is still in the shop, but I am now driving a rental car. It is a 2008 Nissan Altima Hybrid and I love it a little too much.
I love the quiet, peaceful driving. I love the comfortable seats that cradle me and let my feet reach the pedals with ease. Most of all, I love that the size of the car matches the new size of my family.
So, I am no longer impatient for my mini-van to be returned to me. That’s one thing that I can have patience in.

It’s hard waiting on someone else to do something so you can move ahead. I hate that. Hope you get some extra driving in tonight – enjoy!

Hang in there, maybe it work will pick up soon. The rental car is a nice distraction, maybe you should tell them to keep the van ;-)

Step into my world! LOL… Surgery, dog farts? Hmmmmmm….
I’m glad your procedure went well, and I’m trusting that the report will come back with the best possible answer…
Now, off to practice more patience :-)
