I had permission to leave work early. As I walked to my car, I verbally stated the plans to myself. The locations, distance, and pace was all worked out. I began driving, happy to have a little more sunlight to get it done. There was a funny sound, I couldn’t figure where it was coming from. I checked the windows to see if they were rattling. Nothing seemed any different.
At the light, a man got out of his car to get my attention. My rear tire was completely flat. Great, I though, just what I need to ruin my plans. But it was also great that I didn’t get on the freeway that way. What a disaster it could have been!
At home, BoBo went to the football game and YaYa had plans for the family skate night. I’d have rather sat at home with a glass of wine. But I slipped on some roller skates and managed to keep my body in one piece.
My Sunday is insanely busy so the long run is moved to Saturday and I’ll try to get my repeats done on Sunday instead.

Roller skates? Oh my. You must be both coordinated and brave. I haven’t had skates on in about 10 years, and I was in an indoor rink then. I’m okay for circles, that’s it! I bet it’s a good workout though.

That sounds like some great cross training!

Actually, I could feel the pressure on my shins so I stood out most of it. YaYa was a real kick to watch. haha
