I have been following a hard-easy-hard pattern in my training workouts. This made Thursday’s run a not so fast run. After my run on Wednesday, I was feeling the effects of the run in my legs and was glad to slow it down a bit.
I am trying to let go of the fact that I am behind by 2 miles in my training this week. Honestly, I know that it just does not matter. It’s another one of those obsessive things for me. But, I am proud to say that I was able to let it go today and just take the day off. In fact, not only did I not run, I didn’t walk, or cross-train, or anything else for that matter. I left my desk and took a real break. I sat outside with my new issue of Marathon & Beyond and enjoyed doing nothing else.
