While driving down the highway I came across a CHP officer with his gun drawn. With is car parked on the center shoulder, he stood behind the open door with the gun pointing at the on coming traffic. It was a frightening sight. Then, I could clearly see that his gun was a radar gun. I laughed.  “Don’t shoot officer; I’m NOT speeding.”

Unfortunately, I didn’t think to pull out my own weapon to shoot a picture until it was too late.  Therefore, today’s Daily Photo is descriptive (instead of digital).

There’s GNO (girls night out) and there is GRO (girls ride out). We rode out towards the hills and all around the reservoir. It was tons of fun (until my knee began hurting).

After 3 years of being without his dad, YaYa has found a solution to Father’s Day. He’s decided that since I have taken on both the role of mother and father, he would like to shower me with love and what ever else comes to mind. Of course you won’t hear me complaining.

Needless to say, he was so excited about his Father’s Day gift that he insisted on giving it to me early. I had no idea what to expect. Could it be a new screwdriver, handkerchief (aka snot-rag), or pair of Gold Toes?

I was pretty surprised to get this purse which he bought at the neighbor’s garage sale. And since it is my Father’s Day gift, I’ve named it my “man purse.”

The contents, however, are everything but manly.

Sometimes I need to see it.  Other times it’s enough just to know that the sun is out there somewhere… hiding behind the clouds.
