He seems to be paying attention to the football game. But when you see him carrying the ball like this, you begin to wonder.
floored
Ninety minutes before kickoff, I decide to lift up a corner of the carpet in my room. It wasn’t the first time I’d peaked at the honey-stained floorboards underneath. The vacuum pulls it at weekly, and then some. But I’ve never pulled it back this far. I was floored at what I lay underneath.
At this point, there was no turning back. Dingy carpet or beautiful hardwood floor? No brainer. Right? I could only hope that the rest of the floor was in as good of shape as the section I’d uncovered.
Immediately, I got on my phone and retrieved a few how-to’s from my brother. Then, got ready for YaYa’s game. As soon as the game was over, we headed to the local hardware store for a few supplies. Then I got busy.
Stopping only for bio-breaks and bites of food, I worked right up ’till midnight. I slept in BoBo’s room and got up before sunrise. This was when I realized my clothes were barricaded by the pieces of my bed. Where my bed normally goes sat the furniture which normally lines the far wall. With the extra time I had at my disposal, I resumed my efforts charged to free my clothes on time for the workday.

Today, my best work came to me mid-day. The demands of the day, ever-changing queries and such had me exhausted and starving. And still I worked…
Signs of Christmas
It’s not even Halloween and already there are signs of Christmas. Department stores have decked their halls and holiday plans have begun circulating here and there.

My Christmas Cactus has even burst into color already.
