Rest in Peace
He fought the battle long and hard. He conquered the cancer several times but it always found it’s way back. I was so sad to hear that the cancer finally took him from us.
Indeed, the world lost another good man today.
That’s So High School
Actually, it’s NOT like back when I went to high school. There wasn’t any balloons or sign or other creative gesture back when I was asked to go to my high school prom. I simply was asked if I would go.
This was how YaYa did it. The idea stems from image in the movie “Up.” The sign says, “Would you be Up for going to the prom with me?”
Of course, she said, “yes.”
Zootopia
Have you seen the movie “Zootopia”? OMG! It is a BLAST of good fun.
There is a yoga scene in the movie that inspired this juxtaposer play. You see, although all the animals in the zootropolis have evolved to wear clothing, the yoga studio is a “naturalist” environment.
The way the actual scene plays out if hysterical.
Anyway, I was inspired to don my yoga shorts (the ones that rarely leave the 4 walls of my room) for this shot. I posted it to the yoga mysore page but then wondered if I offended people with the angle of the shot (taken to match the animals). So I took it down.
The words that went with the post went something like this:
When you feel apprehensive about wearing your shorts to yoga class then suddenly realize that you’re actually overdressed.
Get it?
*sigh*
Got Termites?
We’ve been in this house since December 31st, 2004. I’ve felt blessed that somehow I have managed to keep afloat just enough to pay the mortgage, other bills, and put food on the table. But when things are in need of repair, the added stress eats away at me.
Speaking of eaten away, check out the window sill of my master bedroom (aka “MY room”)!
On Tuesday, the termite exterminator is coming out to assess the situation and give me an estimate. I am afraid to know what this will cost me.
