At 5 AM sharp, I popped out of bed, turned off my alarm, and got back under the warm covers to wait for the heater to kick start my morning. 50 minutes later, I woke up with a start.
Ugh!
I had fallen back to sleep.
…and because of it, I arrived to yoga 1 hour later than usual.


YaYa calls these trees “refrigerator trees” because they are cold to touch. For me, they are reminiscent of a camp I attended when I was a teen.
Whether or not my sisters or brother actually made it the entire was is still unknown to me. For my attention was not on them; I stared at the light with a sort of tunnel vision hoping that one day I would make it to the other side on a single breath.
