Sometimes your next move is obvious. Other times, not so much. I’m busy contemplating my next move and, unfortunately, it’s not so obvious.

take pause
This tree stands proudly at top the one of the many hills overlooking the city. It’s a challenging run to reach the the point where the tree stand. Yet, at this point, the run has still only just begun. I like to stop, if only for a second, at this and a few other select spots along the way. Just as in life, I think it’s important for everyone to allow themselves the freedom to break and take in the view.
Our daily routines have become so rushed that many work through lunch and hardly break long enough to pee. Although I have fallen into that trap on occasion, I’m not a believer in that practice. On the contrary, I believe that taking a break from your work provides you with some clarity and allows you to be more productive than if you had just worked through. And yet, I’m pretty certain that the powers-that-be at most companies would disagree with me on this.
That’s not what matters. Is it? It’s important for each of us to gauge when and where we need to take pause — if to only to catch our breath, look around for a sign that we are on-course, or decide that we need a complete change in scenary.
gathering leaves
While it may appear that YaYa has been forced to sweep up the leaves from both our yard and the neighbors, don’t be fooled. Looks are deceiving. The truth is that YaYa is gathering leaves to dump on our lawn so that he can roll around in them.

Day TREK to San Diego
If I could have gotten away with it, I would have worn my VFFs on today’s business trip. Think about all the walking we do when we’re traveling. My suit pants are hemmed with no-so-high heels in mind. Needless to say, I opted to bring them along anyway — just in case.
