I’m a little nervous. The pack is pretty darn heavy and not everything is in there yet. We’re planning to cover as much of Yosemite as we reasonably can in the few days we have. Fortunately, not all will be with the pack.
Of course I’m most excited about Half Dome. I’m also most nervous about it. Let’s just say that I have a healthy respect for heights. I’ve done my upper-body strengthening hoping to be prepared for the cables. I also ditched the week’s long run for two quick 6-7 milers yesterday and today. Fingers crossed it all works in my favor.
Having never been to Yosemite, at least that I can remember, this trip is bound to blow me away. Additionally, it’s just good to get away. I need it.
Now, apparently there IS access to the cell towers from the top of Half Dome, or so I am told. Regardless of that, don’t expect to here from me until I return from the back country.
I have my old school (paper) journal and my camera so there should be plenty of good blogging when I return. As always, I will back date the entries to when they were written.

Update: Camera died. Going to have steal shots from my guy’s camera and/or use myPhone. Oh…and my mom informed me via text that I was conceived at Yosemite so apparently I have been here.
