A lot of medals have been draped around my neck in the past years. Some are more special to me than others. For some, it is the design that makes them special. Others, it is more about the race and my performance that makes the medal a medal of honor.
I have not treated any of the medals with the dignity they deserve. Instead, I have either tucked them away neatly in box in the garage or tossed them into my dresser drawer. I’m thinking a shadow box might be a fun way to give them honor.
What do you do with your medals?

They hang on my bedroom doorknobs and bedposts. We were just talking this a.m. about what to do with our medals, each one is so precious, represents money spent on trips, hours of training, friendships, seasons of life. I’m so thankful that I can run, one of our friends is injured and can only walk.

mine were stuffed in a drawer until right after Cowtown. They’re hanging in the closet right now so the ribbons will straighten out. I saw a really cool wooden display rack at the last expo – will likely get it in a few years when I make a significant dent in my 50 states collection.

Many of mine are in a box but some have gone to a new home with Medals for Metal – a stellar organization.

Mine are hanging on the side of a free standing full length mirror, but they aren’t really displayed nicely, that’s just where they ended up, and there was a knob on the side that I could hang them on. I really need to do something better.
