Today is my Dad’s Birthday, so I thought I would do an entry in honor of him.
Five Favorite Memories of my Dad from growing up:
(1) In the mornings, I would hear my Dad’s footsteps as he came down the hardwood staircase. It was a sign that he would be heading off to work. He would always stop in my room and give me a kiss good-bye.
(2) I remember running up the street to greet my Dad when he returned from work. I got another kiss and a hug.
(3) On the weekends, after mowing the lawns, my Dad would have all of the neighborhood kids over our house for a big basketball game.
(4) My Dad always went to my swim meets and bought me Knox Blocks.
(5) I was nervous on the day that I brought baby BoBo over to meet his Papa for the first time. He pulled out the video camera and began talking about what I was like as a baby.
My Dad hardly ever says the words, “I love you,” but that’s okay; I already know it.
Happy Birthday Dad – I love you!

What a sweet post. Does your Dad read the blog or are you going to put those memories on a card or something? I’ll bet he’d love it.
