The day was heating up quickly as my family and I gathered up our things for a day trip to the beach. Tom tuned in to the Prairie Home Companion so that we could be entertained along the way. Much to my surprise, the broadcast was occurring from Duluth (probably taped). I thought of the months leading up to the Grandma’s Marathon. I was eager to read or hear about Minnesota. That was when I first discovered Dori’s Blog. I was thrilled when she would write about her training runs. She is very descriptive and also included pictures that she would take along the way. In listening to the show (which was so funny), I thought of Dori, remembering that she has a old Podcast of hers on her webpage on the Prairie Home Companion. When I discovered it I had tried to listen to it but couldn’t hear it from my computer. Tonight, I downloaded to my iTunes so that I could hear what she had to say (I haven’t listened yet).
After we got things settled on the beach, I abandoned my family for a run. The ride over this hill today got to me a bit more than usual (motion sickness). I hadn’t gotten to the point of throwing up, but I sure had a nasty headache. The run would do me good.
