It’s interesting what will draw my attention these days. The lines created by these overpasses pulled me off the trail and down under. It was a playful challenge to see how I could angle the shot to capture the lines that yanked me from my run. Although I only had myPhone on hand, I do like the end result.
the joy of cooking
Julia taught me what it takes to find your way in the world. It’s not what I thought it was. I thought it was all about-I don’t know, confidence or will or luck. Those are all some good things to have, no question. But there’s something else, somethng that these things grow out of. It’s joy. —Julia Powell, Julie & Julia
Tonight, as part of our advent activities, YaYa and I baked cookies for the neighbors. Other than in the spirit of giving, our cookies in no way represent Christmas. They are oatmeal, raisin, chocolate chip and oh so yummy.
YaYa seemed to enjoy the activity. He certainly found joy in licking the spoons and bowl.
after all have fallen
It seems like just a week ago, I was taking pictures of trees filled with brightly colored leaves. Today, those same trees are nearly barren of leaves. Yet, after all the leaves have fallen, it would appear that the trees are already preparing for the new leaves to fill the empty spaces.
And, of course there are the pokie-balls too.
on the run
The day started off on the wrong foot. I’m sure my intolerance for things not going my way had nothing to do with my head not hitting the pillow until close to 2 am and me being wide awake at 5:30 am. Nah, couldn’t possibly have been that!

By the time noon rolled around, I was itching to get away from it all. Once out the door, it became evident that it didn’t matter what I was doing, so long as it was by myself.
