Wow, it’s been over 6 months since I last posted here. You may wonder why I keep this blog active. To be honest, I sometimes do as well — especially when the hosting fee comes. Blogging feels like a thing of the past (like MySpace) — replaced with the latest and greatest social media website or app.
The fact is, this blog means A LOT to me. I wrote my early entries after my stepdad passed, chronicaled my long journey towards Boston Qualification, highlighted the many priceless moments of the boys (DD, YaYa, and BoBo) growing up, and even shared some of the grief journey following my husband’s passing. This blog allowed me to meet many amazing people (virtually and some in real life). I miss the connections I built here and often wonder if anyone would read my posts if I posted more.
If anyone is out there, please comment to let me know you’re there.
Year-end (2023) Recap
Here is bit of what I’ve been up to this year.
I have been on a journey to improve me overall health and wellness. This included working with a number of specialiasts on balancing my hormones, nutrition coaching to change up my body composition (not necessarily weight loss), strength training, and equalizing imbalances. In may, I ran a half marathon. I have continued some running but it has not been as consistent as I would like. It’s really challenging to fit everything you want to do into the 24hours of the day. Oh yeah, I have been prioritizing sleep and recovery too. I love my time with my family. My boys have always been my everything. I pray everyday for their health, happiness, and safety. I visit my mom and stepdad nearly every weekend to visit and “do chores” (joke). In June, I became a grandma! The boys and I went out to meet my sweet little grandson a few months ago and he has been growing and changing by the second. Honestly, beyond health, family and friends, there’s not much else. I am happy with just this.
