It’s hard to describe the detail of this piece of artwork which I received from Carol (aka “Lil Sis”) for my 53rd birthday. There are multiple layers of cutouts, perfectly stacked to create a mandala like design. She added a battery operated light to it as well. It’s the sort of gift that you know was made with love…lots of it.
Simba has been trying to convince me that his New Year’s Resolution is to get his nutrition back on point. These little homemade egg bites look pretty on point to him…but they are all for me.
Sometimes, things get broken by accident. Other times, they are broken purposely.
It’s early enough in the new year to still be able to enjoy the holiday lights and ornaments. Soon, they will be gone. I take in the loveliness during this evening’s dog walks.
New Years or not, we hit the gym…because it’s what we do.
