A couple of weeks ago, I was invited to:
- go river rafting for real (not just lazy-river floating),
- leap from said raft to swim/ride down the rapids,
- jump off a couple of BIG rocks into the river below,
- and basically leave my comfort zone a several times in the course of a single day.
I met most of these invitations with trepidation, attentive direction-following skills, and a teeny tiny bit of hope that I might find a breadcrumb or two to follow for a while. At least until I find a new path to call my own.
Coming out of your comfort zone is tough in the beginning, chaotic in the middle, and awesome in the end…because in the end, it shows you a whole new world.” – Manoj Arora
And while I thought I was going to drown in the rapids (taking a hold of the paddle offered to pull me out), and was only successful in jumping off the 1st of the two rocks, I did leave my comfort zone albeit for only a brief bit.
The question is: When will I venture out of my comfort zone once again?
