We’ve been past here countless times but have never seen these. Like hidden treasures, these lovelies grow just off the trail about 1/4 mile from the parking lot.

Went for a lovely hike yesterday in the rain, and the difference from the last few dry years was impressive. Wonder if these are a wet-year phenomenon.
I believe these are a product of the rain. I haven’t seen them in a long while in the local parks. Still, if you don’t look around, you’d walk right past them.
