Every Day! Not just on Valentine’s

I’m not a HUGE fan of Valentine’s Day, although I love an excuse (or reminder) for folks to show love and appreciation to others. Hopefully, this is not because they have to but more because they want to. Yes, there is a difference and its BIG.

Michael Franti’s song, “Life is Better with You” was playing earlier in the week. The lyrics brought a smile to my face as they seemed to perfectly reflect my sentiment about the man I love.

Every day’s not Valentine’s, 
but you make it feel like most of the time,
when I’m all alone with you.
Pickin up pieces of my life,
sometimes there’s ones I just can’t find,
but they found a home with you.

I got an idea of something, other than the typical Valentine’s Day gifts, which I could give to him any day of the year. As simple as a slide show of photos from some of our many adventures together — yet a whole lot more special than flowers and/or a box of DARK chocolate (which admittedly I love). Because the day before Valentine’s Day is, in many ways, more special to us than February 14^th, I shared the link with him last night. Today, I share it with you with message to cherish all the moments with your loved ones and say I love you often – even if “every day’s not Valentine’s” because life is just better that way.
