espresso time
It’s amazing how wonderful just four little mouthfuls of this dark, hot liquid is to me. I just love it.
Did I mention that it is half the caffeine?
So long, farewell
Ever since my old favorite yoga clothing company’s CEO opened his big mouth and spilled forth unyogic words, I’ve begun exploring other options in my yoga apparel.
It’s been kind of a fun exercise which has provided me with an opportunity to question the reasons I have avoided wearing certain types of attire. Take tights for example: I wear them for running. Why not yoga? They are no less tight or revealing than most of my yoga pants. In fact, I have found that they stay put over your tush far better than my yoga pants which often creep down in many of the forward folds. They just aren’t black.
As I say “so long, farewell” to my old fav, I am finding freedom in saying “hello” to a multitude of other cool companies. What’s your current favorite company for yoga apparel?
Skype
When your child leaves the nest, it is hard to suddenly not be able to check on them at any given moment. When they are overseas, it’s hard not to worry about their safety.
Fortunately, advances in technology allow us to see with our own eyes that they are indeed okay. I remember joking about phones that allowed you to see the person on the other end. At the time, I could not see how this would be useful. Now, I can’t imagine how it would be without this luxury.
Thank God that I don’t have to wonder and worry. I get to see with my own eyes — my boy is okay.
coming out of automatic
I’m not sure exactly why I decided to come out of automatic mode. Perhaps it was the fond memories of my Fiat Spider. Quite possibly it was that I’d grown tired of being pushed around by bigger, more powerful vehicles while driving my fully automatic gutless Civic. I suppose it was a little of both.
As with anything you do, there is a bit of complacency that goes with letting the machine take the wheel so to speak. I felt that it was time to take back control — even if it meant a little more work on my part. Still, when I’m in the long lineup of cars waiting to drop off our car full of students at the high school, my clutch leg screaming, I wonder if I really made the right decision. And so far…the answer is still YES!
