There I was, leaning out my bedroom window, camera in hand, waiting patiently for the sun to come out in all it’s brilliance. Initially, with it peeping out just the tiniest bit, it seemed like it would happen in just a minute or two. So I called YaYa over to enjoy the moment with me.
We waited, and waited, and waited.
In the meantime, I played around with the aperture and shutter speeds in an attempt to master the manual process. I snapped photos in every direction, of birds flying by, squirrels on the neighboring rooftops, and anything else that came into view. It is quite possible that my efforts to capture this shot were making my neighbors a wee bit uneasy.
The results were a sad excuse for the worst photography experiment. I finally settled back to my usual modes. *sigh* I wasn’t getting anymore comfortable with my camera. Still…we waited.
Meanwhile, the clouds came in and swallowed up any hope of my getting a shot of the sun rising.
This is the best of the batch.
