On Saturday morning, my want to run was put to the test. Rain fell and lightning lit up the sky as I was searching for a little motivation and the bladder to my camelbak. My dog left me a gift by the back door and my girlfriend sent a text message to let me know that she was skipping the morning run because she needed a bit more shuteye. I was feeling the same need.
Certain that if I didn’t make my run happen in the morning it would not happen at all, I left the house and ran towards the local park. My departure came nearly an hour after I’d intended leaving me with less than enough time to do my scheduled miles. It wasn’t the first time, or the last, where I’d have to be creative in getting it done.
