The training schedule called for 18-20 miles.
I opted for 18 miles along a the bike path which I’ve logged far too many miles on. Although it was the same boring path, I did find a few lovely signs of the coming of spring.
As for my run, there isn’t a whole lot to say. My body did the job: my legs took me the distance and I have the usual post-long run aches and pains. The countdown to my marathon has begun.

I’m out in the East Bay on business trip, gosh what a glorious morning – frost on the cars and early blossoms of color on the trees – could have run forever on the Iron Horse trail. Enjoy the late winter, summer will be here too soon.

We look for inspiration wherever we can find it. Sometimes, I try to smell different scents and guess where they are coming from, just to break the monotony. Very nice photos.
