Another year is nearly behind us. I am relieved that my house cleaner is coming today to help me bring a new year in with my house in order. It has been quite in a disarray this past week. And you know I have that superstition that the way the new year comes in will set the stage for the rest of that year. I want the transition from 2008 to 2009 to be as perfect as is possible. I have dreams for my future, you know. I want happier times for me, my family, my friends — and the world too.
2008 was not a very good year for a lot of people. Certainly, it was not all that I had hoped for, but it was a turning point of sorts.
I needn’t read through my blog posts to know that 2008 was a year of pain and many challenges. But, since writing a Year-In- Review post is part of my end of year routine, I have begun to delve deep into the 2008 archives.
The process is eye opening and I am sure that you will see, if I ever get this post completed, that my year had plenty of positive experiences as well.
It is taking quite a bit of time for me to review and pull out the highlights — far more time than I had expected. And I must get my run in today to end the year right. So stay tuned.
Happy New Year!
