As far a Halloween Gypsy Fortunes go, we seemed to get a good lucky. Here is how game day played out for YaYa and his team:
Armed with the head coach’s confidence that the team had what it took to win the game, YaYa was not nearly as nervous as I was. I took this photo of YaYa’s team as they were lining up to take the field. YaYa, leading the line on the right, is wearing jersey #49.
Right from the start, our Mitey Mites did extremely well. The opposing team kicked off and we scored immediately — on the 1st play! A few short plays later, we intercepted a pass and scored again.
Since our head coach has never let the team get over-confident — no matter what the score — they were not surprised when the other team fought back. They were ready.
The boys truly played well and the parents, also true to form, showed their support giving 110%. The game was so much fun to watch. It made the 1 1/2 hour drive (each way) more than worth it.
We won! What a great way to end the season. I only wish that I had a photo from afterwards to show the excitement.
