There is a gentle achiness running through my legs. I suppose I could take the edge off with another dose of Ibuprofen, but the feeling is a nice reminder of today’s long run.
Earlier in the day I couldn’t sit still without the discomfort taking over. I’ve kept busy trying to complete tasks such as finding the broken sprinker (which I don’t know how to fix) while the kids ran through the water. Another important task was the hanging of a tennis ball from a string in my garage to use as a parking guide, thus preventing me from putting the garage door down on the back of the van again.
The tasks did not amount to much but they did well to distract me from my body’s aches and pains. And while this worked out well for me, it sure would be nice to have someone rub my feet and ankles.
Tomorrow’s wardrobe calls for some high heels and I sure hope that my ankles are up for the job. *sigh* I also hope that they feel that I am up for the job.

I know how you feel. We did a long (25 mile) training run for Chicago yesterday and I’m achy today too. But we’ll glad we did it in 6 six weeks!

Good luck on your interview! I hope to be joining you on that particular road to hell pretty soon. The good news is that interviews tend to end up being more fun than you think they’ll be.

I hope the interview went well.
Good job with the speed work a couple of days ago. You sounded then like everything was coming together for the marathon.
