Well I can’t say that my little gathering went off without a hitch but, thanks to my obsessive preparations yesterday, today’s last minute meeting at the end of the day wasn’t much of an issue. I also had a lot of help for which I am so grateful for.
Julie & Julia
Tonight, my kitchen looked like a scene from the movie Julie & Julia. The sweet smell of onions filled the air and piles of onions covered the chopping block. I felt a bit of inspiration coming on as created a rather tasty taco soup for a gathering tomorrow night.
I need a lot more than inspiration however. I need organization, confidence, and TIME.
Like water off a ducks back
Oops!
I have no new photo of the day to post.
This photo was taken during this past Saturday’s step-back run. After we got over the initial shock of noting our matching outfits (this was NOT planned), Mark and I got a big laugh out of watching the reaction of everyone we passed. I really don’t think we could have gotten this matchy if we had planned it. Seriously! We look like a pair of blueberries, or something like that.
Anyway, check out the reservoir behind us! Thanks to all of the rain we’ve had, there is actually water in it. It sure is beautiful. Mark thinks that although the Department of Forestry & Fire Protection can’t blame a draught for the risk of fires, we will now have the added growth to blame. *sigh*
