On Cinco de Mayo, YaYa and I got the pleasure of joining a few wonderful people in the celebration. We were treated to mexican food, margaritas, and marvelous mariachis.

When the alarm sounds at o’dark thirty, and I can’t stomach my morning coffee, I reach for something curiously strong. It’s a feeble attempt to both wake me up and give me just enough energy to get through a morning spinning class.
Did it work?

Tonight, there was much chasing and screaming going on in my house.
Conflict was starting among the boys, who couldn’t agree on which game to play. Two of them wanted to play Cops & Robbers but the other did NOT. Apparently, he’s always getting stuck being the cop.
In comes Juls. Being the peace keeper that I am, I agreed to not only play the game, but to be the cop.
So…the item (a bottle of Elmer’s Glue) is stolen and the 3 little robbers take off running for their hide outs upstairs. And I set out to find the little thieves…
Long, long ago, before I had kids, I was obsessed with dancing. I was so obsessed that I was known to sleep in my car in between classes. I was not about to let my working 12 hour night shifts deprive me from something I’d been deprived of through my childhood. This may have had something to do with why my weight dropped to 104 pounds. Yes indeed…I was obsessed. In the middle of the night, I could be seen practicing my pirouettes and leaps in the long bridge way between the children’s and the main hospital.
I was particularly taken with Ballet. The loved the way it demanded perfect form in everything from posture to the extension of your leg or your fingers. I worked toward perfection and waited as the instructor passed for the correction or the validation that I’d achieved my goal.
Our neighbors recommended a new barber shop to us. The owners of this shop provide that good old fashioned personal service that I love. Unlike the Super Cut’s rush through, these guys really take the time with each customer they send out their door. They know that word-of-mouth is what will get those, and other customers, coming back.
I also love the old fashion look of the store.
