learning to let go
Given my recent goings on, I decided that there was no better time to work on rebuilding an old relationship. Mr. T. Mill and I have always had a love:hate relationship with each other. Since our falling out, I have had a difficult time being in the same room with him.
I admit, I haven’t invested a lot time on the relationship lately. I’ve actually been afraid of him. Tonight, however, I gave Mr. Mill another chance. I started slowly, reintroducing myself, and letting go a little — one mile at a time. I familiarized myself with his boundaries, and let him know mine. And it was good.
Within 40 minutes, our relationship progressed from one of fear to one of respect. I am even looking forward to seeing him again very soon.
