You’ve all been there. Life is too crazy. There is too many things to get done and time is running out. One of the somethings on your list must be left behind. I am sorry to say that, today, that something had to be my run.

  1. Sometimes running is the thing that must be sacrificed to make way in a crowded schedule for other things. You’re tapering…you get a free pass. I hope the weather’s good for you in Chicago. You deserve a cool, overcast day.

  2. I agree with Anne, consider it part of tapering. At this point, as Eric says “the hay is in the barn”. Running would not have done anything extra for your training, though it would help with taper madness. Missing gives your legs an extra rest. That’s a good thing!

  3. I hate it when that happens because I end up feeling like my job is just asking too much of me!

But yeah- you are tapering so no big deal in terms of your fitness. It still stinks when you have to sacrifice ‘me’ time, though.

  4. It’s not like they are working me to death. It’s just that I need to work out the bugs of doing it at lunch. Also, there isn’t anyone else leading the way.

  5. Big Sis

That happens to me all the time…that is why the sacrafice sleep to run with the owls works but I need friends to drag or drag my butt out of bed. This is a great week for you to miss runs here and there. Nothing like tapering and recovering! Enjoy the free time away from life and catch up on those other things on the list.

  7. Ughhh, that sucks. IT happens to me all the time. If I plan to get up a the crack of dawn, I usually get it done, but after work, forget it- about 50% of the time I have to give it up.
